Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
Bulk pickup days are available on your trash service day the 1st and 3rd full week of each month. Residential garbage customers receive 4 pickups per year. Each pickup is limited to 3 cubic yards.
Place items neatly by the curb for service; box or bag small items.
Call Resource Recovery at 512-393-8407 to schedule a bulk pickup at least 2 business days before your trash service day.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Furniture
- Mattress and box springs
- Carpet (cut into 4 ft strips under 35 lbs)
- Tree limbs (less than 5″ wide must be bundled under 35 lbs)
- Lawn Mowers (gas and oil removed)
- Lumber (less than 4′ long nail-free)
- Appliances (freon-free only)
- BBQ grills (no propane)
- TVS (Tube TVs under 32″, Flat screen under 44″

- Auto fluids and filters
- Pesticide

Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
