Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
•Furniture
• Air conditioners – purged & tagged by a refrigeration company
• Stoves
• Refrigerators & freezers must be purged of freon, have doors removed, and tagged by a refrigeration company
• Barbecues – no propane tanks
• Mattresses
• Carpet must be rolled and tied, up to 4 feet in length

Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
-Cardboard boxes used as garbage containers, commercial/ industrial-sized items, auto parts, construction materials such as toilets, sinks, vanities, windows, drywall, lumber, ceramic tile, broken concrete, asphalt, doors, etc., are not collected.
-Contact Transco Recycling 519-332-4045, Waste Depot 519-333-8252, or Curran Recycling 519-332-0849 for drop-off locations and hours of operation.

Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
