Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup

- Large household items
- Items in open boxes or clear bags (so contents can be clearly identified)
- Up to 7.5 cubic yards of material per collection
- Small amounts of carpet (cut into 4 x 4 foot squares and rolled)
- Fencing (must be cut into 4 x 4 foot sections)
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Items in black or opaque garbage bags (or any bags or containers that you can’t see through)
- Clothing
- Ammunition
- Loose piles of junk
- Regular household trash
- Yard waste or organic material
- Tires or large auto parts
- Rocks, sand, glass, concrete, or construction/renovation materials
- Paint cans or containers of liquid
- More than 7.5 cubic yards of material per collection

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
