Republic Services observes the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day

Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
Bulk item pickup schedules:
Zone 1 is north of I-30 and west of Ridge Road/Goliad Street.
Pick-up for Zone 1 will be on the 1st and 3rd Monday of the month.
Zone 2 is east of Ridge Road/Goliad Street and all areas south of I-30.
Pick-up for Zone 2 will be on the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Brush includes tree trimmings, leaves, and grass clippings.
- Stoves
- Water tanks
- Washing machines
- Furniture (to include, tv’s and rugs) and other things of this nature.
- Total amount of “bundled” material set out for collection each week per home shall not exceed two cubic yards (6’ x 3’ x 3’).
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Bulk items should contain no hazardous waste material or construction material.
- Rock, excavation dirt, scrap building material or other trash resulting from construction or major remodeling will not be removed by Republic Services.
- Fencing must be no larger than 6’ x 3’ x 3’, no fence post with concrete attached will be accepted, as well as Tires, oil based paint and refrigerants will not be accepted.
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
