Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
The City of Rowlett, through FCC, provides weekly brush and bulky item collection without a call-in required. However, a courtesy call is appreciated. Bulky items will be picked up the same day as your trash. **Please allow up to one week for collection.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- All other major household appliances (except refrigerator/freezer)
- Furniture
- Microwaves and other small household appliances
- Hot water heaters
- Debris from minor remodeling performed by the resident
- Fencing must be in 4′ X 6′ sections
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Dirt, rock, and concrete
- Automobile parts, tires, and batteries
- Liquids such as paint, motor oil and solvents
- Other hazardous materials such as herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, pool chemicals, etc. Hazardous materials may be dropped off at the Home Chemical and Hazardous Waste Collection Center.
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
