Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
Athens Services provides a FREE bulky item and electronics item pickup service to single family and multi-family residents at the curbside or next to your trash dumpster.
To schedule a pick-up, please fill out an online Bulky Items PickUp form or call Athens Services at (855) 557-1007 two (2) days prior to your regular collection day.
A limit of 4 bulky/electronic items is allowed per week.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Furniture and carpets
- Non-hazardous items
- Painted wood/doors, home remodeling debris
- Appliances
- Monitors, electronics
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Building materials such as concrete, bricks, lumber, roofing, fencing, plaster, sheet rock, paint, or glass
- Hazardous waste
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
