Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024

*On your second trash collection day of the week, you may place up to three bulk items at the curb. If you are going to use curbside pickup, you can only put three bulk items at the curb every second garbage day.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Asphalt Shingles – bundled or put in containers weighing no more than 50 pounds
- Carpet – must be cut into four foot lengths, tied and bundled; weighing no more than 50 pounds
- Chain Link / Wood Fencing – wood fence must be cut into four feet lengths. Chain link must be bundled and tied, not weighing over 50 pounds per bundle or section. Concrete must be removed from poles.
- Furniture
- Railroad Ties – must be cut in four foot lengths, tied and bundled; weighing no more than 50 pounds; nails and screws must be removed.
- Sheet Rock – must be cut in four foot lengths; remove all nails or screws.
- Wood Doors, Paneling, Plywood & Pressboard – must be cut in four foot lengths, tied and bundled; weighing no more than 50 pounds; nails and screws must be removed
- Wood Pallets – must be cut into four feet in length.
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Hazardous waste
- Ammunition
- Pesticides
- Paint
- Batteries
- Dead animals

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
