Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Furniture: Sofas, chairs, tables
- Metals
- Washers, dryers, microwave
- Doors, Limit 4
- Vinyl/Metal Window Frames, Limit 2
- Fencing, up to 4 sections of 4×4
- Fixtures: Toilets, tanks, tubs (Tanks must be separated from toilet bowls). Limit 1
- Carpets and padding: Limited to 10 rolls, not to exceed 5 feet in length or 50 pounds in weight
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Branches
- Unwrapped mattresses and/or box springs
- Construction material
- Uninspected hot water heaters
- Electronics (e.g. TVs, computers, printers)
- Pallets
- Paint and any other household hazardous waste materials
- Tires
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
