Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Furniture, Carpets, Mattresses
- Tires: up to four (4) car tires (without rims)
- White Goods: Refrigerators, freezers (doors must be removed), water heaters or other similar household appliances
- Brown Goods: Electronic equipment such as stereos, VCR’s, personal digital assistants (PDAs), telephones, and other similar items
- E-Waste: Electronic equipment such as cell phones, computers, monitors, televisions, and other items containing cathode ray tubes (CRTs)
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- No dirt, rock, concrete or hazardous materials.
- No items over 60 pounds, except furniture and appliances.
- No more than seven cubic yards of material per pickup. This is approximately 42 full, 35-gallon bags, or material that would fill a space 9ft. long, 5 ft. high and 4 ft. wide.

Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
