We collect garbage, recycling, yard waste, and bulky waste on all holidays except for the following listed above. During observed holiday weeks, all collection services will operate on a one-day delay with Friday customers receiving service on Saturday.

Items that are too large to be placed in the garbage rollout cart and not eligible for recycling or yard waste collection are considered bulky waste and must be scheduled for collection.

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup

- Mattresses
- Box springs
- Lawn equipment
- and similar items
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Garbage Pickup
- Bags of Garbage only collectible as bulky item if part of move in, move out, or large cleanup.
- Cut/break Curtain Rods into small pieces and place in rollout container. Place Curtain Rods in rollout.
- Cut/break Fluorescent light into small pieces and place in rollout container.
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
