Trash Pick Up Holidays

Here you can see the city-observed holidays.

  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
  • New Year’s Day

In the event that a collection falls on a holiday, the regular services will be pushed to the next day.

For example, on Thanksgiving Day: Thursday’s regular garbage and recycling routes will be collected Friday after Thanksgiving. Friday’s regular garbage and recycling routes will be collected Saturday after Thanksgiving.

Texas Pride Disposal can pick up two (2) bulk waste/heavy items every service day.

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup

  • Furniture (couch, table, mattress, box spring, desk, dresser, etc.)
  • Appliances (washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc.)
  • Hot Water Heaters
  • Fencing/Decking/Siding (please remove nails, cut into lengths 4′ or less, and tie and bundle under 50 pounds, limit eight bundles per service day)
  • Trampolines (broken down, please place metal with recycling if possible)
  • Basketball goals (broken down into sections 4′ or shorter, no concrete in base or poles)
  • Carpeting/Flooring (please cut into lengths 4′ or shorter and tie and bundle under 50 pounds, limit eight bundles per service day)

  • Household Hazardous Waste
  • Concrete

  • Bricks
  • Tile
  • Batteries

Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.

Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
