Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Small bulk – waste items must be bagged or boxed
- Yard waste – must be placed in disposable paper bags. (Grass clippings are not permitted)
- Brush and wood – must be cut, tied, and bundled in lengths four-foot or less
- Passenger car tires (four tires max) – must be separated from other waste
- Metal – must be no longer than four-foot lengths and separated from other waste
- Electronics and white goods – must be separated from other waste
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Hazardous waste
- Ammunition
- Liquid Waste including oil-based paint
- Propane Tanks
- Grass clippings, logs, and stumps
- Sheetrock
- Concrete or cement
- Bricks
- Porcelain tubs
- Sinks
- Toilets
- Demolition material

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
