If your regular trash/recycling day is on, or after, one of the following holidays and the holiday is on a weekday, pick-up will be delayed by one day. If your regular trash/recycling day is on a Friday, all items should be placed at the curb by Saturday at 4:00 a.m. The normal schedule will resume the following week. Yard waste and brush collection will be caught up throughout the following week.

Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
Bulk items are collected on your normally scheduled trash/recycling pick-up day. Please have your items out by 6:00 a.m. Bulk collection is limited to piles no larger than 10 feet long, 4 feet wide, and 4 feet high.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Mattresses and box springs must be securely & individually wrapped in plastic.
- Five or more loose items such as lumber, posts, etc. are to be bundled and not
exceed 4 ft in length, 2 ft in diameter and weigh less than 40 pounds. All nails must be removed. - All loose items such as clothing, toys, etc. must be bagged.
- Rugs, carpets, and pads must be rolled and tied at both ends and no longer than 6
feet. No heavier than 40 pounds. - Couches, furniture, TVs, etc.
- Appliances (refrigerant must be removed from refrigerators, freezers, AC units,
dehumidifiers, etc.) - Grills, push mowers (without engine), weed eaters (gas/oil removed).
- Small bundles of shingles
- Boxes, with items inside, must be dry and intact. Must not be heavier than 40
pounds
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Hazardous waste (oil, paint, chemicals)
- Building or construction material from commercial work
- Major automobile components (batteries) or tires
- Concrete
- Any items that contain Freon will not be picked up and will need to be disposed of by the homeowners.
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
