Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
Some items included are listed below. You will want to double check with your trash hauler when you book your pickup to make sure the trash hauler’s guidelines have not changed.
- Furniture
- Mattresses
- Most appliances except for refrigerators
- Push lawn mowers with no fuel or oil
- Up to 4 foot rolls of carpet (Must be securely tied and less than 50 pounds. Two rolls count as one item.)

Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
