Trash Pick Up Holidays
Here you can see the city-observed holidays.

If your pickup day falls on one of these holidays, it will be delayed by one day. If the holiday falls on a weekend, your service will NOT be delayed.

Bulk Waste Pickup
Residential waste customers with cart service are entitled to four (4) bulk item pickups of up to 10 items per pickup per calendar year. Additional paid bulk waste pickup is available year-round, for a fee.

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Area rugs, rolled and secured, not to exceed 6 feet in length
- Bagged trash in excess of the trash cart capacity – not to exceed 40 pounds per bag and sealed with string, tape, plastic or wire tie
- Furniture, mattresses, box springs, bed frames, headboards, and footboards
- Household appliances such as ovens, built-in stove tops, range hoods, refrigerators, dishwashers, water heaters, water softeners, clothes washers or dryers, trash compactors, and microwave ovens
- Moving boxes and shipping cartons in excess of the recycling cart capacity
- Pool equipment
- Securely bundled palm fronds or tree trimmings/branches in excess of green waste cart capacity, not to exceed 4 feet in length and 40 pounds per bundle
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Remodeling items, such as intact vanity cabinets, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, intact windows and doors; cast iron tubs are not accepted
- Universal waste and hazardous waste is not accepted
- Waste from construction and demolition waste is not accepted
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.

Trash collection starts at 7 a.m. Make sure to have your bins on the curb by then.
Place carts in a visible location at least 3 feet apart and 6 feet away from mailboxes, trees, basketball hoops, cars or other stationary objects.
