Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
There are two options for Bulk Pickup:
- Free Quarterly Bulk Pickup: call Republic Services at 303.286.1200 (M-F, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
- Neighborhood Curbside Cleanup Days: You are also eligible to participate in our annual Neighborhood Curbside Cleanup Day, which allows you to place up to five items out for pickup for free.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Branches bundled with twine and cut to 4 foot lengths. Bagged yard clippings, leaves and mulch to no more than 50 lbs.
- Wood, drywall, windows, doors, decking, carpet and flooring
- Small appliances, metal flashing, metal furniture and household metals
- Household trash, furniture, linens, clothes, toys, bikes and play equipment broken down to 4 foot pieces
- Bumpers, auto body panels, seats and upholstery
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Concrete, dirt, large stumps, fertilizers, chemicals and rocks
- Concrete, bricks, paints/stains and chemicals
- Refrigerators, freezers, A/V units, any appliance with Freon and lawn mowers
- Hazardous and bio-hazardous waste, needles, syringes, workout equipment and hot tubs
- Tires, car/truck batteries, vehicle fluids, motor oil plastic containers and windshield glass
- All electronics including TVs
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
