Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Unusual large items like furniture, carpet, padding, large appliances (i.e., washers, dishwasher, air conditioners, etc.), refuse amount greater than allowed under Household Refuse.
- No more than one pile 4 ft. x 3 ft. x 3 ft.
- up to four 30-gallon containers
- boards, poles, planks, decking, fencing (without concrete attached) etc., under 3 ft. in length and 4 inches in diameter
- two large non-combustible items (excluding appliances)
- large appliances, which entail an additional $3.50 fee per appliance.
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- motor vehicle parts
- televisions
- computer components
- central air conditioning units
- plumbing fixtures, toilet, sinks, tubs, boilers, heater units or radiators
- gas or air tanks (fuel, oil, propane, acetylene, oxygen, etc.)
- video, pinball or vending machines
- enamel paint or paint remover. Note: Latex paint will be accepted, but MUST first be dried out; try oil-dry or kitty litter.
- musical instruments and equipment
- metal cabinets or drums
- boards, poles, planks, decking, fencing, etc., over 3 foot long or 4 inches in diameter
- any poisonous materials
- compact flourescent lamps (cfls or spiral light bulbs)
- all materials resulting from demolition, excavation, construction, plastering, paperhanging, roofing or carpentry.

If you have large items that the township won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the township won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
