Trash Pick Up Holidays
Here you can see the city-observed holidays.

- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
If any of these holidays fall on a weekday, your pickup day will be adjusted. Examples: Monday holiday, everyone will be picked up one day later than normal. Thursday holiday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday will be picked up as normal. All other days will be picked up one day later.

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Bulky household material too large for Garbage cart (furniture, mattresses, etc.)
- Pipes, lumber, tree/shrub trimmings
- Appliances (for child safety, remove or securely tape/tie large appliance doors closed)
- Important! Indicate the number of large appliances in the form – a different truck picks these up
- E-waste (TVs, computer monitors, mobile phones, etc.) – put smaller devices together in a disposable box
- Fluorescent tubes (four feet or less)
- Tires (no rims; 5 maximum)
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- No commercial waste, concrete, dirt, rocks, bricks, tree stumps or heavy objects (auto bodies, engines, etc.)
- No glass panes/mirrors or hot ashes/coals/fireworks
- No Household Hazardous Waste (batteries, chemicals, oil, paint, propane tanks, etc.)
- No household material that is accepted in Garbage, Organics/Green Waste and Recycling carts
- No liquid
- No treated wood waste (fence posts, railroad ties, guardrails, pilings, decking, etc.)
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.

Trash collection starts at 6 a.m. Make sure to have your bins on the curb by then.
