If a holiday falls on a service day, all remaining days of the week will shift. For instance if holiday is on Tuesday, then Tuesday will be retrieved Wednesday, etc.

Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
The first Monday of each month will be the bulk waste pickup day unless that day falls on a holiday. In the event the first Monday is a holiday, the second Monday of the month will be assigned as the bulk waste pickup day.
All residents who wish to schedule a bulk waste pickup must sign up through the City of Alabaster’s SignupGenius Page. The City will have 100 slots available for reservation each month. Reservations will be made available two weeks in advance of the scheduled bulk waste pickup each month and registration will CLOSE at Noon on the Friday before the Monday scheduled for pickup.
Once a reservation is confirmed; residents may place their items at the curb for pickup no more than 24 hours prior to scheduled pickup time.

- stoves
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Anything considered as hazardous waste
- Appliances utilizing Freon
- Batteries
- Dirt
- Medical waste or supplies
- Paint
- Propane tanks
- Rocks
- Roofing material
- Stumps
- Tires
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
