Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
Residents may submit a bulk collection request to MyHooverConnect. Materials should be placed no more than 3’ from the curb and in an area with no overhead obstructions.
Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Rolled carpet
- Glass doors (glass must be broken and placed in a cardboard box)
- Alkaline, manganese, and carbon-zinc batteries
- Fluorescent bulbs
- Household amount of pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers
- Moving boxes (broken down)
- Packing materials (bagged)
- Appliances (refrigerated appliances require a Freon removal tag issued by a certified technician)
- Mattresses

Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Large amounts of construction debris: blocks, bricks, concrete, piles of dirt, tile, tires, etc.
- More than household amounts of hazardous waste
- Car batteries
- Large car parts (engines, rotors, etc.)
- Landscape ties/cross ties
- Needles
- Animal carcasses.

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.

You may also email us at [email protected] with any request.  Crews on the garbage trucks can sometimes gather small piles of limbs but in most cases it is best to inform us. Only debris generated by the homeowner will be collected. It is the responsibility of hired landscapers, tree services, roofers, remodeling companies, etc. to remove any materials/debris generated by their crews.
