Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Furniture – sofas, chairs, desks, tables, recliners, bed frames, car seats, etc.
- Large appliances – Washers, dryers, stoves, hot water tanks, dishwashers, refrigerators, chest freezers (all food must be removed before pick up).
- Mattresses and box springs – must be individually bagged or sealed in plastic; mattress bags preferred. Maximum 2 of 4 large items annually may be mattresses and/or box springs.
- Outdoor equipment and furniture – Lawnmowers, patio furniture, umbrellas, barbeques (remove briquettes/propane tanks before pick up).
- Exercise equipment – stationary bikes, treadmills, elliptical machines, etc.
- Area rugs – maximum size of 5’ x 8’.
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Home renovation materials – toilets, bathtubs, sinks, drywall, plumbing, etc.
- TVs
- Tires
- Car bodies or parts

Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
