The Recycling & Trash Services Office does not collect items on:
- 4th of July
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
- New Years Day.
Holiday pickup schedules will be announced prior to the date. The administrative office is closed on all City-recognized Holidays (New Years Day; Martin Luther King, Jr. Day; Good Friday; Memorial Day; Independence Day; Labor Day; Veterans’ Day; Thanksgiving Day; and Christmas Day)

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
Oversized wood, plastic, metal, furniture and electronic items that will not fit in a trash cart are considered Bulky Items and can be scheduled for pickup at no additional charge. This pickup is done by appointment only.
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
Demolition materials.
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
