Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Boxes, bundles, and bags cannot weight more than 75 lbs
- Boxes must be 30 gallons or smaller (DO NOT set out boxes in wet weather). Bundles of limbs must be less than 18″ diameter, less than 5 feet long, and weigh less than 75 pounds.
- Appliances and Furniture (items with freon must have the freon removed and then a label placed on the item indicating such removal)
- Yard Trimmings and Limbs
- Rubbish (wood, plastics, metal, leather)
- Grass Clippings
*If materials you put out are improperly prepared, they will not be picked up.
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Construction and Demolition Waste
- Hazardous Materials (paints, oil, solvents, bug spray, weed killer, batteries, old car parts, fertilizers and such)
- Any kind of waste from business, tires or piles of brick, broken concrete or dirt
- Commercial/Industrial/Business Waste
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
