Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Are items that won’t fit into a Shrewsbury Blue Bag and weighs over 20 pounds – excludes electronics and appliances.
- This service applies to Shrewsbury residents who participate in the PAY-T program.
- It requires the purchase of a $12 Bulky Waste Sticker and scheduling a bulky item pick-up with Waste Management via phone (800-972-4545). The sticker number is required to set up the appointment.

- Mattress/ Boxspring: They must be recycled and can’t be scheduled with bulk sticker.
- DROP OFF: please call 508-841-8591 for more information, or visit Town Hall (2nd floor) to schedule a drop off at 211 South Street (by appointment only). Cost – $55 per item. Mattress / Boxspring must be dry in order to be recycled. Cash or check only.
- CURBSIDE PICK UP: please call Green Team Junk Removal 508-361-0519 to schedule curbside pick up. Cost – $75 per item.

Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
