Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
Yard waste, furniture, bundled carpet cut in 4-ft. lengths and appliances (Freon must be removed by a certified plumber). Please place one (1) bulk item per week for disposal.
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
Due to state and local regulations, the following materials are prohibited from collection; automotive, batteries, tires, wet paint, chemicals, liquids, and hazardous waste such as asbestos, gasoline, or oil. (see Household Hazardous Waste Collection) Appliances with refrigerants (freon) may only be collected if a sticker is placed on the appliance certifying the refrigerants have been removed.

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
