Sanitation crews operate Monday through Friday except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Day. Following these holidays, routes will be completed one (1) day later.

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
Special pick-up service for certain items such as bags, tree limbs, large appliances (freon must be removed), carpet, furniture, tires (additional fees apply) and cardboard boxes may be arranged by calling 309-5750. These items should be placed at the curb or alley for collection before calling for the special pick-up service. Limbs are to be cut small enough that one person can easily load the limbs.

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
