The Roswell Municipal Landfill will be closed in observance of the following holidays:

  • The day after Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Eve

Collection Routes

Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2023

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup

  • Bagged brush, preferably cut and placed in biodegradable paper yard bags
  • Bagged leaves only, preferably placed in biodegradable paper yard bags
  • Fence Panels not larger than 4 feet by 6 feet
  • Furniture
  • Kitchen Appliances
  • Limbs and branches cut and bundled in 3-4 foot lengths
  • Refrigerators/freezers (must be tagged certifying removal of refrigerants and have the door removed)
  • Toys
  • Washing Machines and Dryers
  • Water Heaters
  • Yard Tools

Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup

These items should not be placed in alleys. They must be taken to the Municipal Landfill

  • Clean commercial construction debris
  • Electronic wastes (TVs, computers, printers, phones, etc.)
  • Household hazardous waste (paint, motor oil, pool chemicals, etc.)
  • Remodeling debris, including siding and roofing shingles
  • Room-size carpets
  • Tires, batteries, propane tanks, fluorescent bulbs

Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.

Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
