Bulk Waste Pickup Calendar 2024
Twice per month on your regular collection day the City will pick up your yard debris in excess of two bags and outside the cart bulk waste such as tree limbs and furniture. See the blue line on your collection calendar to know when to place your outside the cart waste at the curb.
You may use the Waste Collection Schedule tool (click on the Wizard tab) to determine how to recycle the waste item or dispose of it.
Guidelines for Bulk Pickup
- Bulky item piles are limited to half a cubic yard.
Place bulky item piles within three (3) feet of the street. - Do not place bulky item piles near mailboxes, parked cars, fences, trees, and low-hanging tree limbs.
- Do not place material at the curb after crews have passed by your house.
- Tree debris must be less than 5 ft in length and less than 13 inches in diameter.
Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
- Household hazardous waste
- Construction and demolition debris
- Tires
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
There are a number of junk removal services in Memphis and I’m sure many of them will be able to help you out.
