If a collection day falls on an observed holiday between Tuesday and Friday, residential garbage and recycling pick-up will be one day later.
If the holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there is no disruption to garbage and recycling service and pick-up will run as scheduled.

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
-Extra garbage tags are available at the Intergovernmental Center, 10 Civic Center Plaza, or from Hy-Vee, 2010 Adams Street, for an additional fee of $3.50 per bag.
-Appliance recycling is provided year-round. City of Mankato residents may bring appliances to Green Tech, 205 West Spring Street, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday. Payments are made directly to Green Tech. To receive the discounted rate of $8 per appliance, show Green Tech staff a driver’s license, identification card or utility bill with a Mankato address.
