Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup
Residents are allowed one bulk item per week. Please set out large, bulk items on your regular scheduled service day by 7:00 a.m. placed separately from your normal solid waste.

- Air conditioners
- Hot water tanks
- Stoves
- Microwaves
- Couches
- Chairs
- Tables

- Other large items
If you are disposing of a refrigerator or freezer, please remove the doors and racks before setting the item out for collection. In addition, GFL is responsible to make sure Freon is extracted according to current environmental standards, items that still have freon in them will not be picked up. If you are disposing of a mattress, it must be wrapped.

Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
