Trash and recycling is collected as follows:

  • Mondays – Wards 1, 2 & 3—Virginia to Maine from Rt. 30 to Boardwalk
  • Tuesdays – Ward 6— Albany to Raleigh from Boardwalk to West end
  • Wednesdays – Wards 4 & 5—Albany to Texas from Boardwalk to Sunset
  • Thursdays – Ward 4—Texas to Missouri from Boardwalk to Sunset, Arkansas to Ohio, from Bacharach Blvd. to Horace Bryant Drive & Venice Park and Lagoon
  • Fridays – Wards 2 & 3—Ohio to Virginia from Route 30 to Boardwalk

*Residents may put out up to three (3) large items for removal on your scheduled trash day.

Acceptable Items for Bulk Pickup

  • refrigerators
  • stoves
  • washers
  • dryers
  • household appliances
  • furniture and similar large items comprising a single unit 

Unacceptable Items for Bulk Pickup

  • Construction debris including paint and drywall
  • Roofing tiles/shingles
  • Glass and Windows
  • Automotive parts, including engines, transmissions, bumpers, and tires

Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.

If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.

Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
