Collections will be delayed one day after a holiday. If the holiday falls on a Sunday there will be no collection on Monday and services will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week.
If the holiday falls on a Saturday there will be no change to your regular pick up day. If a holiday falls on a weekday, service will be delayed one day later for the remainder of the week.

For safety reasons please remove all doors of all the large appliances prior to placing at the curb. There is a $25.00 charge per item for the collection of the appliances.

Electronic Waste Collection
Groot will collect up to six electronic items (excluding televisions over 50 pounds) at the curb per week for an additional fee. Televisions over 50 pounds would be an additional cost. Contact Groot at least 24 hours in advance of their service day to schedule a pick-up at (847) 429-7370.
Have bulky items the city won’t pick up? You need a junk removal service.
If you have large items that the city won’t take from you, you may need to hire a junk removal service.
Junk removal services are not be as picky about the items they’re collecting so if the city won’t take the item, this may be your best bet. There’s usually a fee involved with junk removal but most companies can tell you ahead of time approximately what it’s going to cost.
